The oldest international junior golf invitational in North America
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Junior Masters Executive Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s tournament, scheduled for June 22-26, 2020. We are disappointed to reach this conclusion but given current Governmental guidelines and the international nature of our field, we believe this is the proper course of action.
All participants who have remitted their entry fee will have those fees refunded shortly. For those who were already invited and have eligibility remaining in 2021, we will honor that invitation for next year’s tournament.
We wish to thank all of our participants, their parents/coaches, our sponsors, and East Aurora Country Club members for their support and understanding during this trying period.
Started in 1953, the International Junior Masters (“IJM”) is a junior golf tournament for boys 14 to 18 years old. We are the oldest international junior invitational in North America.
Our golf tournament is unique in that it combines both medal play and match play into its tournament format.
Top caliber players from around the globe have competed in the tournament, making it a world-wide showcase of junior golf talent, creating a field at the highest level of competition.
Parking & admission are free. The tournament is contested in late June each year.

This year’s champion will receive an exemption into the Porter Cup!
The Porter Cup is a 72-hole, medal-play elite amateur golf tournament held annually at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, New York. It was first played in 1959 and over the years has hosted some of the biggest names in golf.
Past champions include PGA Tour stars Phil Mickelson, David Duval, Scott Verplank and Ben Crenshaw.
We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Saddlebrook Academy to promote opportunities for junior golfers as well as the game in general.
The Saddlebrook Preparatory School is a fully accredited private school located on five-hundred acres just north of Tampa, Florida. Saddlebrook Prep provides customized academic, golf and tennis training programs for student-athletes in grades three through twelve. We are currently training many of the top junior athletes in the country. This year students have accepted sports scholarships to many universities including Stanford, Pepperdine, Texas A&M, University of Virginia and Elon University.
This year the IJM Tournament has a conflict, for New York state students, with the Regents Chemistry examination on Thursday, June 25. If you have to take the test that day you would not be able to participate in the tournament.
There is, however, an alternative. The test is also offered in August.
Please discuss this with your school’s staff before submitting your IJM application.
If you have a test on Tuesday morning June 23 we can likely work that out with adjusted tee times, and there is a high likelihood you can take the tests here in East Aurora.
Again, please discuss this with your school’s staff.
